Jobs with CTD – Supporting Refugees & Asylum Seekers

Following a successful pilot project, Communities Together Durham has received a significant grant from Durham County Council to offer initial support and help to Asylum Seekers and Refugees and to facilitate a broader infrastructure of support across the County.  CTD is the lead voluntary sector agency for the New Pathways Arrival programme in County Durham.  We are passionate about supporting individuals and families to  settle in their communities, improve their English, access social activities, find volunteering placements and signpost them to other sources of expert help.  We also work more widely with schools and other voluntary sector groups to raise awareness of asylum seekers being resettled and to facilitate social activities and other support.

We are now seeking two additional members for our team:

  • a Development Officer responsible for the delivery of the New Arrivals Pathway and associated drop-in sessions (including support for volunteers working with the drop-ins)
  • an Integration Officer facilitating partnership activities and volunteering placements within County Durham

In addition to the Project Lead, the team includes a Case Worker supporting individuals and some part time administration.

You will find full details of the two new roles in the linked documents.  Please note that we will not accept CVs – you must complete the application form in full.  The closing date for applications is 9am on Thursday 10th October and interviews will take place on Thursday 17th October in Durham.
