Mental Health First Aid – an introduction – Chester le Street session

Come and join us for an eye-opening session on mental health first aid. Learn how to provide initial support to someone experiencing mental health challenges. This session with Dave Burke, an accredited MH first aid trainer, delivers an introduction to how we might respond to people we meet in the course of our community activities who are struggling with their mental health. Dave’s training comes from a Christian perspective and will be useful to staff and volunteers who are running drop-ins, food provision and many other activities where we meet people who may be in crisis. Together, let’s learn to be more confident in how we support people struggling with mental health issues, and appropriately signpost to the help they need.
There are two sessions available (content will be the same at each session):
