A conversation on Mental Health, young people, faith and poverty led by Jenni Osborn

For anyone who wants to find out more about mental health, and think through issues of young people, faith and poverty

Details of the day:

10-12.30pm (lunch) Awareness raising, Faith, young people and mental health

In the morning we'll have a conversation about Mental Health & illness, About the links between Faith and Mental health, and also spend time thinking about the effects and causes of mental health issues on young people.

12.30-1.30 lunch

1.30-4pm Poverty, community and mental health

In this session we'll look specifically at Mental health and its links with Poverty, and how this impacts communities.

Jenni is an experienced trainer and educator in the field of mental health, faith, young people and community work. The aim is to equip faith, youth, children & community worker to know how to cope with many of the issues which are facing our children and young people today including mental health conditions like anxiety and depression. She has also written a Grove Booklet on Mental Health and Young People, which will be available very soon. (we may even have free copies on the day for you)


Do come along to either or both sessions, join in the conversation, discuss approaches, issues and have questions.

Both sessions will include opportunities to reflect on local situations and develop responses.

All Free, and lunch will be provided at 12.30pm and available to anyone attending either or both sessions.
