Community Organising Training

Training in Community Organising Coming up!

During the pandemic there was a feeling of all being in something together, unfortunately we know that isn’t the case.

As you will know the issues facing our communities, including poor housing, poverty and access to mental health services, are worse than pre-pandemic.

Yet we often feel powerless to make any changes.

Community organising is one method that helps groups of people make change such as better local parks, Real Living Wage, schools based counselling service.

One such action recently was to galvanise communities to deal with the issue of litter, dog fowling and rent issues in Newcastle, by taking part in the training, this will give you tools to make changes happen in your local area

Tyne and Wear Citizens is running an online introductory training to community organising.

We are holding three sessions training to help people learn more about how you can help to tackle injustice using community organising on the 5th, 12 and 19th of October: 5.30-8pm (See flyer attached)
