Bringing People Together

Bringing People Together

Communities Together Durham would like to invite you to join us at 2pm on 19th May, to learn more about the Bringing People Together (BPT) programme, an opportunity to create online spaces for people to stay connected with one another during and beyond Covid restrictions. We know a lot of churches are fantastic at offering hospitality, but the last year has presented challenges of fewer available volunteers and concern about gathering together, so the next few months will require some adjustment for those who offer and receive group hospitality even as we come out of lockdown.

BPT has everything groups need to set up a safe, secure and welcoming online space for people to gather from the safety and familiarity of their home, and we are keen to set up a pilot project in Durham diocese, to see if this way of working can have a longer-term prospect. We see potential for it to be useful beyond Covid restrictions for those who are unable to leave their homes under ‘normal’ circumstances, or groups who have difficulty meeting together in person for geographical or other reasons.

There is more information about BPT here, and if you would like to learn more or potentially be involved in the pilot, we would love for you to join us for a Zoom chat, where James Henderson, part of the team who initially developed BPT, will tell us more and answer questions.

If you would like to come along, please use this link to register via Eventbrite in order to receive the Zoom link for the meeting.

We look forward to seeing you there,

Maddy and Ray
